On December 30, 2021, the Marshall Fire swept through the Boulder Valley in a matter of hours, taking more than a thousand homes with it. This family had only minutes to evacuate and they lost everything that morning; their house, years of memories, and the life they had built on their land. Theirs was one of the first homes to be destroyed.

They spent the next two years navigating insurance, zoning, permitting, and a parade of contractors who promised more than they could deliver. When they found Big View Builders, they weren't just looking for someone to build a house. They were looking for someone they could trust.

We were on site every single day from groundbreaking to the final walkthrough. The result is a 3,600 sq ft modern craftsman ranch, wider, smarter, and more beautiful than the home they lost. Panoramic windows emphasize the mountain views that this family fell in love with in the first place.

This was one of the first homes lost to the Marshall Fire and it's a project we're immensely proud of. Not just for what we built, but for what getting there meant to this family.
